i'm aliiiiiive!

summary of past months: i graduated and moved back home. one might think i would have a hard time making the transition from double degree to doing absolutely nothing, but the couch really seems to suit me. i decided not to work over the summer so i would have plenty of time to study for the lsat. but um, the lsat was like, last week. so surprise! i have lots and lots and lots of time to watch tv.

in fact, too much time. it got to the point where i thought my eyeball was going to explode, and then i just had to watch blind date, and then i turned the tv off. then i was painfully bored.

however, the past 24 hours have been pretty ridiculous. i called up clarissa because i was DYING to go out, and i brought her, dave, and joe to clinton's ditch. but gosh, who else would be out at midnight on a thursday night in schenectady? it's always scary to go out in schenectady, because you ALWAYS see these people that you never thought you'd see again. i don't need to worry anymore, because nothing could have been worse than thursday night. in addition to about 30 kids from my nisky class of 2002, there were also maybe 10 teachers who thought it would be a great time to get bombed. without dropping names, all i can say is, if you're a hot, young, single new middle or high school teacher, don't despair!! in less than 10 years, you can potentially hook up with those middle school hotties who've always had a crush on you!! let's all say a quick prayer that a designated teacher-driver was hiding somewhere, because otherwise, a bunch of super teachers might be dead or in jail.

during this very special outing, joe mentioned that he was driving to nyc the next day. he nicely agreed to let me tag along. i went to bed at..3ish? and woke up at 7ish? and could not fall back asleep. very strange. at least joe picked me up at 9:30 - 18 hours would have been a long time to watch tv, folks. so joe has a sweet view in his new apartment, and evidently, a great deal of money. marry me, joe.

we did lots of fun things like eat at chipotle...mmm...i love you, chipotle....and then go to starbucks....mmm...i'm a fatty.... where this guy came over and checked his email on joe's roommate's computer. then, it turned out he was an actor, and he showed us his pic on IMDB. his name was edward crawford. the second. i was excited, and then i was sad that he didn't discover me and put me in a movie. but joe said, "mel, his shirt says, 'unemployed'". WHATEVER!!!!

then after eating, and eating, we went out to dinner with GREG LAMONTAGNE remember him?? to these wall street people, i guess i'm probably amusing for a few minutes. but wow, i'm sooooo out of place. i think i would be physically unable to network. i really can't even think about it anymore. it blows my mind. you need like, "class" and...."money"....umm...i have no idea. i like to think that i can do anything. but i absolutely could not pull off wall street. i guess i also don't know what "stocks" and "finance" are, so there was never any real danger of.....wow, um, i don't know what i'm talking about. i'm really tired. really tired. GOODNIGHT!!!
